Mandy Pigny

Mandy’s combined HR and consultancy experience spans three decades.

She set up her own business psychology in 2011, focusing on providing clients with specialist expertise in recruitment, selection and development. With a long standing interest in psychometric tools and their added, complementary value to HR processes, she helps clients get beneath the skin of individuals and identify their unique attributes. Deeply committed to bringing rigour to assessment processes, she believes in the power of making informed decisions based on the science married with human judgement.

Mandy has an MSc in Occupational Psychology and is a chartered member of the CIPD.

Jo Baker

Jo is an experienced Senior Project/Client Manager of over 10 years.

Jo’s excellent knowledge of planning, delivering and completing projects and events means that she brings competence, professionalism and adaptability to any event or task and has the drive to achieve results through a logical and systematic approach.

Jo has a balance of event management, training co-ordination and people management experience. She has extensive knowledge of facilitating and managing Assessment and Development Centres.

Using her highly developed interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships.
she has successfully worked with a range of clients and colleagues including Senior Civil Servants, charity volunteers through to senior managers, CEOs, executive coaches and occupational psychologists.
Jo brings a positive, participative, self-confident, friendly, self-starting, factual, consistent and self-disciplined attitude with the right amount of mobility, flexibility, variety and pace to fulfil any task.

Claire Robinson

Claire Robinson is an experienced finance manager.

She joined Psychonnaissance in 2014 to manage the day to day finances of the business. With exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail, she has over 15 years’ experience running small businesses in a number of business sectors.

Sarah Cook

Sarah is a Chartered and HCPC registered Psychologist and has worked as a consultant for nearly twenty years.

Her expertise encompasses executive assessment, leadership development, executive coaching, assessment and development centre design, and psychometric testing. She has delivered successful consultancy projects for numerous clients in both the public and private sectors. Recent public sector clients include UK Government and Cardiff and Caerphilly Councils.
Sarah has extensive experience of using psychometric tools for selection and development and is trained to use NEO, FIRO-B, OPQ, Wave, MBTI and Hogan Development Survey, amongst others. She has also trained others in the use of assessment and development centre methodology.

Nick Clark

Nick is a Chartered Psychologist with over 25 years’ experience of helping organisations improve performance by identifying the abilities and potential of individuals and teams.

With extensive experience of talent management, including high potential identification and development, he possesses a deep understanding of the psychological enablers of high performance and change.
He has created and delivered assessment and selection processes for a variety of organisations, including Novartis, FedEx, Lafarge, and McKinsey. Recent public sector clients include the UK Government and Cardiff Council. He holds RQTU qualifications in the use of psychometric instruments, and is an accredited user of a wide range of tests including Hogan, NEO, and OPQ32.

Dr Tanya Harris

Tanya is a Chartered Psychologist specialising in executive selection, coaching and development.

With over 20 years’ experience, Tanya is accomplished in a wide range of psychometrics, competency based interviewing techniques and bespoke assessment methods. She has extensive experience of facilitating organisations through the assessment and development of leadership capability, achieved with rigorous assessment and data analysis. She has worked across all sectors and industries and has a strong reputation as a credible, effective and objective assessor who is determined to add value to the individual and organisation through her work. She is RQTC Registered and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. Tanya’s qualifications include BSc., MSc., PhD., CPsychol., AFBPS.

Cat Marks

Cat’s consulting experience spans 25 years; she has worked as a senior consultant for several UK and Global leadership consultancies.

Cat delivers high value talent management programmes, assessment, development and coaching for leaders ranging from first-level managers to CEOs. She has breadth and depth of experience of working with private and public sector clients, UK, European and Global businesses. She has expertise in a wide range of psychometric tools, having worked as course director delivering British Psychological Society ability and personality assessment qualifying programmes for three leading test publishers.

Cat has an MSc in Occupational Psychology, a Diploma in Executive Coaching and is a member of the British Psychological Society and International Coaching Federation.

David Kershaw

Since 1996, David has been equipping professionals with the tools and techniques to communicate with confidence, clarity and courage.

Areas of speciality include Enhancing Personal Impact, Building Assertiveness, Communicating with Resilience, Handling Challenging Stakeholders, Courageous Performance Conversations and Confident Presentation Skills. David initially trained as an actor at RADA, later becoming a theatre director and successfully leading and inspiring teams of up to 50 individuals. He has helped develop thousands of individuals from more than 200 organisations – from local authority street-cleaners to private sector CEOs. Recent clients include KPMG, EY, Hachette, CIMSPA, Ipswich Building Society and NHS Leadership Academies.

Jill Downing

Jill has worked as a learning and development consultant since 1999, helping businesses and individuals to develop leadership, communication and management skills.

She is highly experienced in coaching, workshop design and delivery, training needs analysis, and project management. She is Subject Matter Expert in Presentation Skills for HMRC, Bank of England and Leicester DMU. Jill also works extensively as a corporate actor, using roleplay, improvisation, scripted scenarios and forum theatre to help public and private sector companies with the recruitment and development of their people, and is a skilled designer of high impact drama-based learning. She has been a member of British Actors’ Equity since 1999, with a BA Hons from Nottingham University and a CIPD Certificate in Training Practice.

Michael Hobbs

Michael has a creative background, initially as an actor and BBC Presenter and then as a documentary filmmaker.

He led large teams (both creative and technical) and delivered high-value projects on time, on budget, and with high ratings. Since then, Michael has completed an MBA, with published research into charismatic leadership, and a Professional Certificate in Coaching, both with Henley Business School. He has experience with financial, marketing, local government, pharmaceutical and of course creative industries. He still acts, most recently in the West End in Olivier Award winning Kinky Boots and on screen for Amazon, BBC and Channel 4. Michael is a member of the Institute of Coaching and BAFTA.

Sarah Maggs

Sarah is a chartered occupational psychologist and human resource consultant (FIPD) with proven ability in implementing strategic & creative solutions that add value to a business.

A self-starting individual with commercial acumen and the ability to build great relationships with clients and deliver projects on time and within budget. With experience across public and private sector clients, she has provided expert consultancy for Talent Management, Organisational Design, Executive coaching, Leadership Training, and Senior Development and Assessment Centres. Over her career, Sarah has developed many assessment programmes, overseen successful implementation, and designed workshops in leadership and team development. Sarah has a BSc, a MSc in Occupational Psychology, and is a qualified career counsellor and executive coach with extensive experience with psychometric tools.

Anne-Marie Rowson

Anne-Marie’s 30-year career spans internal and external roles in large global organisations, smaller businesses and public sector organisations.

She combines critical in-house experience with external business psychology consulting knowledge and has worked successfully with extensive stakeholders to assist mergers and acquisitions. She has great ability to simplify complexity, translate best practice theory into practical and implementable action plans, and senior level stakeholder engagement and management. An experienced assessor, Anne-Marie is also an accredited professional executive coach and qualified to use a wide range of psychometric and 360 instruments. She has an MSc in Occupational Psychology from Birkbeck College, and is a member of the BPS, CIPD, ICF and an alumni of the Academy of Executive Coaching.

Helen Hyde

Helen Hyde is a qualified and experienced Broadcast Journalist and Videographer.

She graduated from Cardiff University’s Postgraduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism in 2009 and since then has worked across many prime-time television shows including The One Show, X-Ray, Coast & Country and Crimewatch, as well as local ITV news and radio. Together with her husband, Duncan, she is now the owner of Hyde Media, a video production and digital marketing company based in Tetbury. Hyde Media has also worked for the Royal Agricultural University in Cirencester, Simon King Wildlife, and Tetbury Goods Shed Arts Centre. Helen is a creative, engaging and tenacious journalist, videographer, script writer, interviewer and editor.

Laura Knill

Laura Knill is a chartered psychologist who has been practising since 1998.

She has extensive experience in a wide range of assessment processes including: designing and running assessment centres, interviewing, carrying out individual assessments and psychometric profiling. Her clients have included the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, Civil Service Talent, Professional and Financial Services firms, Housing Associations, Educational Establishments and Manufacturing companies. She is also a qualified and experienced coach, accustomed to giving assessment feedback and coaching for on-boarding. She is qualified in a wide range of psychometric tools and is registered with both the HCPC and the BPS.

Martin Spencer

Martin Spencer is extensively experienced in HR and leadership assessment and coaching, having held executive positions as HR Director for the Zürich group and Gocompare.com

His interest in understanding people and variation began with his undergraduate studies in psychology, followed by a PhD focussing on individual differences. Gaining experience at a small consulting practice, Martin fell into a more corporate career specialising in leadership. He is able to apply both organisational experience and knowledge of people, organisations, psychometrics and psychological models to the world of leadership assessment and coaching.

Angie Sims

Angie graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 1987, gained my Licentiate in speech and drama in 1997, and became an associate of the CIPD in 2015.

Alongside her professional acting work, Angie’s corporate work includes role-play, real-play, facilitation, forum theatre, coaching and feedback delivery, using a range of models. She works within recruitment and learning and development, with extensive experience in all.
Angie works with clients exploring the need for appropriate feedback and coaching, for enhanced management skills in various situations including during change management processes. She works with individuals on how to develop their personal and vocal impact and assertiveness, in both group and 1-2-1 settings.

Julie Verdon

Julie is a HCPC registered psychologist, a coach and is accredited to use a wide range of psychometric measures.

She works with individual leaders and leadership teams across the public and private sectors. She has extensive experience of designing and delivering leadership assessment and development initiatives for selection, organisational change, talent management, leadership development, coaching and mentoring programmes.
Julie has worked with leaders in the UK and internationally over the last 19 years. She has worked with clients in both the public and private sectors, covering a wide range of industries and professions. She has assessed and coached clients up to C-Suite level and has worked extensively across central and local government, the third sector, education, health, retail, aerospace, FMCG, financial services, telecoms, construction, oil and gas.

Dr. Felicity Gibling

As an experienced business psychologist, Felicity has breadth of experience in development and coaching, recruitment and assessment methodology, culture and organization development.

She has over 25 years’ experience in consultancy across a variety of sectors and organisations, including engineering and manufacturing, banking and finance, local authority, gas and oil industry, retail, IT, law enforcement and the public sector. She has facilitated leadership development as part of a peace building programme with women leaders across the Balkans and has specialist expertise in the psychology of wellbeing and psycho-physiology of stress, providing coaching and counseling to people needing support to manage stress, anxiety and psychological health. She is a passionate advocate of personal growth and change through coaching, helping people to define goals that will enhance personal, professional and organisational performance. Through honest dialogue and the use of diagnostic psychological tests, she encourages leaders to increase self-awareness and responsibility, helping them to realize their full potential as leaders and the potential capability of their teams. Her coaching style is constructive, positive and strengths-based, and she seeks to develop insights through reflection and challenge, to explore different ways of seeing and approaching personal and professional situations.

Felicity has a BSc in Psychology, MSc in Occupational Psychology, PhD in memory and qualifications in Coaching and Mentoring. She holds full Level B certificate of competence in Occupational Testing, using psychometric personality tests and 360 feedback to provide insights for leadership coaching, development and assessment. She is a member of the Special Group in Coaching Psychology and International Society for Coaching Psychology, British Psychological Society and Association of Business Psychologists.

Joseph Rollin

Joseph is a British Sign Language/English interpreter (TSLI) based in Bristol registered with the National Register of Communication Professionals working with Deaf and Deafblind People (NRCPD).

He has been qualified since February 2018 and currently works as an in-house interpreter on a part-time basis as well as working as a freelance interpreter covering a variety of assignments in the South West area. Prior to this, Joseph worked as an in-house interpreter for one year in Solihull with an interpreting agency after graduating with a 2:1 from the University of Wolverhampton Interpreting degree. He is on route to fully qualified status, currently undertaking a post-graduate diploma at the University of Central Lancashire. Joseph’s regular areas of work include, community, educational, employment and medical settings. He is consistently seeking experiences that broaden his areas of competence and broaden his range of working domains.
